I have always passed by this restaurant so many times on my way to Forever 21 in Grand Indonesia. It is located in West Mall and right before the escalator in front of Seibu. Back then, I was not a big fan of garlic. So I would avoid to eat garlic. Several days ago when I was sick, I have serious craving for some garlic dishes. My partner and I decided to check that place last night and We didn't regret our decision..not even a bit. You would know why!
Our food; Garlic Pane
It looked like a simple garlic bread. But oh boy that explosion of flavor on my mouth. I am not kidding when I said this is Yummy!!! Only 30k rupiah or $2.50 for 2 big sizes of garlic bread. It has sweet savory on top and salty butter taste inside. Crispy and crunchy outside, chewy and soft inside. It doesn't get better than that. Totally Recommended for Appetizer.
His Food; Cheese Fondue with Garlic
He said this food might come from Norther Italy as this is one of their special dish. Fun fact, Mad For Garlic is actually Korean owned Italian restaurant. Since Korean loves garlic so much. They infused or added garlic to Italian foods. The waiter roasted a garlic and peeled it for us. Then he put the garlic inside the fondue. It actually added a rich flavor to a creamy fondue.

His food; Ratatouille Pizza
Have you heard of this Ratatouille? Maybe you have seen the movie and been wondering how it taste like. You can try this one in Mad For Garlic. Simply delish! With a little bit of goat cheese on each slices, it is a guarantee for a savory dish. As someone who doesn't like cheese (almost hate it), I actually (and surprisingly) enjoy this pizza. I ate a slice of it. The Ratatouille sauce matched perfectly with the cheese. This one is only 75k rupiah. Boyfriend said this is too cheap for such a fine taste.
My Ordered; Garlic Holic Fried Rice
Mamma Mia! It was yummy. Slightly too salty at first bite, but I get used to it. I don't understand when people said this dish taste bland. How could it be? The garlic taste is pretty strong and a hint of shrimpy paste too. This was 90k. A big portion for 2 people, we took same of this home and ate it for breakfast. Still good! I have never posted about my trip to Korea on my blog before. I decided to finally post it in here. On January 2012, I got a job in Korean sort-of-NGO-like company. They said I have to get a training for new employee in Seoul, South Korea. Because the headquarter is located in Seoul. On early February finally I issued my first Passport in Kanim Jakarta Selatan. I got my passport a week after applying it. I thought applying for Korean Visa would be difficult. But apparently since I am working for Korean Government (by the time), it was actually easy. It only took less than 2 hours to get the Visa. I just have to go to the Embassy with my boss and talked to the Head of Consular or something. And I got the visa within the same day less than 2 hours. On my second Korean VISA, i got it after a day, but I didn't even have to go to the Embassy. Oooh goody! The benefit for working in my previous office. I didn't go to Seoul by myself. I went there with another new girl from the office. The rest of the team was waiting for us there, including new employees from other countries like China and Vietnam. Don't worry, I am not gonna bore you with the training detail. I am just gonna share you the story of my first visit to Korea, a country that I had been longing to go ever since I was in college. It was one of the reasons why I started to learn Korean from internet.

It was March but still really cold for me. It helps a lot to eat warm steamy odeng 'fishcake' on street food stall during our midnight shopping experience.
Most favorite dish during winter, I don't really know the name. But it was a combination of seafoods, vegetables, and ramyun boiled in a big pot on your table.

I spent a week there mostly in the office. The only free time I have was at night. Either I would spent it gossiping with the new girls in their apartment (3 or 2 girls per 1 apartment) or we would do some midnight shopping, karaoke-ing with boss and senior co-workers, Watching Cooking Nanta show, or meeting with some of my friends from Korea or Indonesian who lives in Korea. I shared apartment with the 2 other new girls from Indonesia's office (one Indonesian, one Korean who lives in Indonesia). I would share more about my trips on the second part of my post. On 2012, my first trip to Korea, I tried Ttokbokki in HongDae area. My office mate said that it was one of the best Tteokbokki selling place in Seoul. And I was not disappointed. It was indeed really delicious compare to the Tteokbokki I tried in Indonesia (Lotte, K-Mart, etc). That store even occasionally pops out in several drama series. I forgot which one. But it was so popular among the youngsters in HongDae area.

Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of my plate. Back then, taking picture of foods was not very popular things to do. Hahaha
Last month, a friend of mine from my old working place called me and told me that her boss (my ex boss) would like to invite me to come to the office on Saturday as he would cook Tteokbokki for all of us, his employees. Of course I had to say yes. Beside I miss my ex boss, he always treat me as if I am his daughter. He actually call himself my Korean Father. He told me to change my name from Park Su Ci to Kim Su Ci instead, because I am his daughter and his family name is Kim.
I went to the office and played around with my co-workers while waiting for him to come with all the food ingredients and his portable stove. He always bring that stove on his car. He likes cooking for his favorite people, employees, students, etc.

Gyaaaaaaaaaaa Finally I got my Wonder Pore. This is the product that I have always want for past couple of months I saw a blogpost about it.
I asked boyfriend to buy me this in Incheon Airport on his way to Indonesia from America. He looked around for Etude House store but couldn't find it. I forgot the store was on Garuda Terminal, not in the main terminal. So he had to visit 3 Duty Free stores to find it.
Funny thing happened when he was looking for this stuff. He keep having trouble with the sales person since they barely speak English (weird they work in Airport with soooo many foreigners). He said 2 sales person in 2 previous stores hinted (his guess) that the Wonder Pore is solo popular that it is always sold out. So when boyfriend asked for it, they just said "No more pore, no more pore!". I guess maybe what they meant to say is that the Wonder Pore is sold out..hahaha same thing also happened when he asked for Cracked Nail Polish from Face Shop, the sales person just said "no more nails..no more nails" makes no sense at all.
Finally he found it on the 3rd store...pfffffuiiih. I am just so glad he did.
He bought me the biggest size of 500ml for price of 15$ almost the same price with Indonesian price for Wonder Pore 250ml.

The bottle is too big for me to use and according to the picture on the back cover of the packaging, it says I can use it as face mist too. So I took some of it out and put it on a pink bottle.
Hehe it looks so cute when it stands near the big bottle. I just used it once or twice. So I won't be able to make result review yet. But I will try to update it once I got the visible result. Btw, I also planning to try this product on my boyfriend's skin. He has orange skin pore because he used to have acnes. I would like to see if this product is as good as what people say even if the skin problem is more visible. I have pores but not as big. What annoys me the most is the tip of the nose area. It's clogged. I hope this product will make it better.

I felt like it has been a while I haven't show up with new post. Eventho days ago I already post something. I just feel like I miss you all. So, i am posting a quick review of a package that just arrive in the office.
I bought the stuffs from Qoo10. It took a month or more till the package arrived safely on my desk. Here they are;
Dew Lite Eyes : Tear Liner, Luxury Gold
Clubpartra: Waterproof Gel Pencil Liner, Shine Blue
Prestige: Crème D'Escargot (3 samples)

I took the stuffs out from the packaging.
The swap result on my skin. The gel liner (Shine Blue) need several times of applying till I got those colors there (2 or 3 times). As for the Tear Liner (Luxury Gold), it doesn't really looks like gold color to me. The liquid is very lumpy, so the line that i make is different each time I tried to apply it. You either can get good color within one swap or you need more swaps.
Pro:
1. Love the packaging
2. Unknown brand (which means not many people using it)
3. Mildly like the shine blue color
Contra:
1. Unknown brand (has not been tested whether good or not, since not many people has using it)
2. The gel liner seems like easy to break pencil
3. Seems like it is gonna be hard for me to sharpen the pencil
4. I don't really like the color of the Tear Liner
5. The Tear Liner is very lumpy. Make it harder to apply it on the skin.
Overall:
I am not gonna repurchase it.
I will collect the samples for now. No intention of using it yet.
